The International Wine & Food Society Hosts Yet Another Divine Culinary Journey

What can I say… mama loooooooves to EAT!! So when my friend Bertrand Courtois, President of IW&FS Saigon Chapter, invited me to my second dinner of the group’s 2023 series, my answer was ABSOLUTELY YES PLEASE!

Located at TRE DINING, a newish fine dining addition to Thao Dien’s vibrant and bustling foodie scene, this rooftop restaurant presents magnificent views of Saigon’s iconic Landmark 81 building to their patio diners.

As I waited for the group to arrive, I followed the wise direction of a table card, and sipped on a Gin Fizz in anticipation of my decadent eight course meal to come.

We were seated at the restaurant’s wrap-around open-kitchen counter, the Prosecco was poured and flowing, and the meal commenced.

1: Beetroot / Blueberry Sphere, Oyster / Green Apple Mocktail, Iberico Ham / Onion Purée / Pistachio Crumble. Wine: Prosecco Brut
2: Sous-Vide Black Tiger Prawn / Dry Ice Frozen Unripe Mango / Caviar. Wine: Reisling
3: Grilled Golden Spotted Grouper & Seaweed / Scallop Tuile / Masaman Curry. Wine: Rosé
4: Grilled Stuffed Chicken Wing with Mallard Duck / Chẩm Chéo Spices / Saw Leaves Drizzle. Wine: Can Xanet
5: Smoked Mackerel Pearls / Mango Sorbet / Tomyum.
6: Argentinian Black Angus / Oyster Sauce / Parsnip Purée. Wine: Cabernet
7: Vietnamese White Coffee and Ice Cream / Flan Caramel / Mulberry. Sphere. Wine: Sherry Cream
8: Chocolate Truffles

If you wish to indulge in a truly inspired tasting menu, definitely visit TRE DINING. The food, and most importantly, the IW&FS company was truly outstanding!
